Getting started

A few good habits
for the first session.

Learn the controls before worrying about the next upgrade.

Let the tutorial set the pace.

Begin with the instructions inside the game you have chosen. They show the controls available in that version and the order in which to use them. Complete a few ordinary catches before exploring every menu. If a screen is unfamiliar, look for its help text rather than assuming it works like another fishing game. These are general starting habits, not a shared tutorial for both titles.

Learn one action at a time.

Watch the casting instructions, then the feedback that appears when a fish is hooked. Fishing Clash’s Android description specifically asks players to tap the strike control to keep its tension indicator near the centre of the bar. Do not transfer that exact instruction to Fishing Planet: it offers several fishing methods, and you should follow the guidance for the method and equipment currently in use.

Understand the starter setup.

Read the names and descriptions of the equipment provided before replacing it. Find out what a change affects and whether it is required for your next task. In Fishing Clash, lure cards and their upgrades are part of progression. In Fishing Planet, tackle choices sit within a broader simulation of fishing methods. Try changing one thing at a time so that the result is easier to understand.

Pause at purchase prompts.

Both listings identify advertising and in-app purchases. A free download does not make an upgrade, bundle or other offer free. Read the amount, currency and contents on the confirmation screen. Check the purchase authentication settings on your Google Play account, especially on a shared device. If the value or purpose of an offer is unclear, leave it and return to the instructions.

Check the practical requirements.

Open the official listing on your intended device and review compatibility before installing. Read current developer guidance about connectivity and any account setup shown during installation. Do not assume offline access or that progress transfers between platforms. For a crash, lost account or purchase problem, use the developer’s support route linked from Google Play. Reedwake can answer questions about this guide, but cannot access either game’s systems.
